Melissa Black is the President and sole employee of MsR3, LLC. Although her partnerships and resources are impressive. Melissa has her Master's Degree in Occupational Safety and Health, holds a Certified Safety Professional (CIH) designation. She is a Certified Utility Safety Administrator (CUSA); Certified Ergonomics Assessment Specialist (CEAS) and obtained FEMA's Emergency Management Professional Development Certification. She is an Adjunct Professor in Occupational Safety and Health Sciences at Columbia Southern University in the College of Safety and Emergency Services and the College of Criminal Justice, Homeland Security. She is also a part time instructor for the National Safety Council. She is a proud affiliate of the Back School of Atlanta since 2013 and develops online courses and Webinars in partnership with this organization.

She began MsR3, LLC in May of 2013 as she was retiring as a Safety Director of Gwinnett County Government, one of the fastest growing counties in the nation. Early in her career, 1980, she began her career journey and was a pioneer as one of the first women in the industry when she began as a Chemist and then transferred to plant operations for Dow Chemical, LA. Division. She then worked turnaround at Exxon Oil Refinery, Baytown, TX. She was employed with Law Environmental Labs, and was Director of Safety and Environmental for Power Plus Battery Manufacturing.
